Description
The pumping quality in a glovebox is crucial, determining the stability of oxygen and humidity purity. The vacuum pump evacuates gas or air from transfer chambers connected to gloveboxes with purification units. It is advisable to perform multiple vacuum-fill cycles before opening an internal transfer chamber door to avoid contaminating the controlled atmosphere. Depending on the model and type of transfer chamber, vacuuming may be manual or fully automated with a programmable cycle on the installation’s touchscreen. Proper sizing of the vacuum pump is essential based on glovebox usage, environment, and the volume of chambers to be evacuated.
